POSITION: Video Engineering Intern II
HOURS PER WEEK: 20 to 40 hours per week (approximate)
SALARY RANGE: $15.00 to $19.00 per hour
FINAL FILING DATE: Open until filled
DEFINITION: The City of Cupertino is currently recruiting for a summer intern assigned to the Information Services Department at City Hall. Under supervision of the Chief Technology Officer, the intern is responsible, after training, for the successful work in the area of Video Engineering. May include general technical duties at an entry level. Performs related duties as required.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Video engineering/production
- Assisting in the design, installation, and management of video broadcast, audiovisual, and computer systems
- Basic editing
- Digitizing tapes
Establish and maintain a client relationship with a solid customer service perspective that is professional, courteous and respectful. Ability to maintain confidentiality, security and integrity of data and information.
Entry Level understanding of video engineering.

- Work independently, often with limited supervision or direction.

Education and Experience:
Must be working towards a degree in Computer Science, Video Engineering/Production, or related discipline.
Licenses and Certifications: Must possess or have the ability to get a Class C California driver’s license.
Physical Demands: Regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; use listening skills to talk or hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk, and stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
