Citywide Notice - Vallco Specific Plan - EIR Open House + Scoping Meeting

In November 2017, the City Council authorized preparation of the Vallco Special Area Specific Plan. The City will prepare an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) to study the environmental effects of the potential development in the specific plan in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA.) A Notice of Preparation (NOP) of a Draft EIR has been prepared and is available online at: The public comment period for the NOP ends on Monday, March 12, 2018 at 4:30 PM.

Members of the public and public agencies are invited to an EIR Open House and Scoping Meeting, between 6:00 PM and 8:30 PM, on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Community Hall (10350 Torre Avenue, next to the library). The Open House (6:00–6:30 PM) is to help interested persons learn more about environmental review. The Scoping Meeting (6:30–8:00 PM) is to receive comments regarding the scope and content of the EIR.

Note that any written comments sent to the City related to the project shall be retained in file archives, which are accessible to the public through the City’s website. Please do not include personal or private information that you do not wish to make public; doing so, constitutes a waiver of any privacy rights that you have on the information provided.
