McClellan Ranch West Parking Area - Initial Study

Post Date:06/07/2018 3:52 pm

The City of Cupertino has prepared an Initial Study to evaluate the environmental impacts of the proposed McClellan Ranch West Parking Area, as required by the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).  The Initial Study concludes that the project described below would not have a significant effect on the environment, and therefore, the City proposes to adopt a Mitigated Negative Declaration (MND).  The project is not listed as a hazardous materials site under Section 65962.5 of the Government Code.

The project, located at 22241 McClellan Rd., proposes to construct a 47-space parking area, including a 27-space main parking area and an approximately 20-space overflow parking area, on an approximately 1.4-acre site that is currently used as an overflow parking area for activities at the McClellan Ranch Preserve.

The purpose of this notice is to inform the public of the City’s intent to adopt a MND for the project, and to provide an opportunity for public comments on the draft MND/Initial Study. Persons having comments on the draft MND/Initial Study are invited to furnish their comments in writing to the address below no later than July 9, 2018

The City of Cupertino will hold a public meeting to review the proposed Mitigated Negative Declaration on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at 9:30am.

The draft MND, Initial Study, and reference documents are available for review at the Cupertino City Hall, located at 10300 Torre Avenue, Cupertino, CA, 95014, Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, and at the Cupertino Library, located at 10800 Torre Avenue, Cupertino, CA 95014.
