ON THE CITY CHANNEL
(MAY 11, 2008 - MAY 17, 2008)
Looking for a new approach to teaching America's history? Consider America's History in the Making. It explores American history from the Pre-Columbian era through modern events, with programs divided into three sections: historical era overviews, biographies of individuals that illustrate larger events, and a behind-the-scenes look at how history is studied, documented, and presented.
Primary Sources uses primary-source documents to research and interpret American history and features informal lectures on pivotal events from the settlement of Jamestown to the Cold War. Look for its companion series, A Biography of America, which brings history to life through first-person narratives.
