MAYOR DOLORES (DOLLY) SANDOVAL

Ms. Dolly Sandoval was elected to the Cupertino City Council in 2001 and 2005. She was elected by the council as mayor in December 2007. Her second term on council will end in 2009.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from UC Santa Cruz
Associate Degree in Business Administration from DeAnza College

Employment
I'm a math teacher at Los Gatos High School. I teach Algebra 2, Geometry and Algebra. Prior to teaching High school for the last eleven years, I taught seventh grade for seven years.
Professional
Prior to my election to the Cupertino City Council, I served for 10 years as an elected trustee for the Foothill-DeAnza Community College District. I am actively engaged in community service as a member of the board for Cupertino Community Services, a member of the Cupertino Chamber of Commerce, and a supporter of many other local organizations. I have also served on the Board statewide environmental advocacy organization, Friends of the River. Additionally, I served as a member and President of the board for The Role Model Program, a county-wide youth mentoring non-profit organization.
Family
I'm a longtime area resident and graduate of Cupertino schools. I live with my husband, Ed Hoffman.
