CITY CLERK
The main responsibilities of the City Clerk's Office are records management and elections.
The City Clerk's staff prepares the Council agendas and keeps an accurate record of all City Council proceedings. This office maintains the official copies of all city ordinances, resolutions, agreements, and minutes, and arranges for county recordation of deeds, easements, maps, etc.
City Clerk Kimberly Smith also administers local elections for Council candidates and ballot measures. This includes providing candidates with nomination papers and receiving campaign finance disclosure forms and Conflict of Interest statements.
Other functions of the office include: Bid openings, overseeing recruitment and interviews for the city's commissions; processing annexations, claims, and appeals of the Planning Commission action; and providing reception services for City Hall.
The City Clerk's office has one part-time and four full-time employees, and is a division of the Administrative Services Department.
