Enhance Your Life
The Cupertino Senior Center is the perfect place to meet people and enrich your life. We are Cupertino’s hub for activities, information and services that are specifically geared toward active adults 50 years and older.

Membership
An annual membership provides access to trips, socials, classes, social services and:
  • A Senior Center only parking permit
  • Bi-monthly Mailing of the newsletter Active Senior News
  • A special fitness membership rate at the Cupertino Sports Center
It’s easy to become a member, you need to be 50 years or older, complete an application form (download the senior center annual membership application) and, with an annual membership fee of $22 for Cupertino residents or $27 for non-residents, your participation can begin.

Active Senior News
Senior activities are listed in detail in the Senior Center’s newsletter Active Senior News published bi-monthly. You can download the current newsletter from the link at the top of this page. Also, copies are available at the Quinlan Community Center, City Hall, Sports Center and the Cupertino Library.

Classes
The Senior Center offers over 30 hours of exercise each week and a variety of dance classes. For those artistically inclined, a selection of fine art and craft classes are available. If education classes are more of an interest, the Senior Center offers language classes, music, and senior issues lectures.

The Technology Lab has computer classes including introductory and intermediate level instruction for Macintosh and PC computers.

For flexible scheduling, Evening classes include yoga, ballroom dance, keyboard, Tai Chi, Bridge and Ikebana flower arranging.

Travel and Tours Programs
The travel program offers wonderful local day trips and exciting extended tours. Short trips included exploring local Bay Area cities, museums, theater shows, and extended tours features travel throughout the United States, international travel and cruises. Annually, the travel program conducts 40-day trips, 6 overnight trips and 5 extended tours.

Socials
Resource for Seniors Photo

Looking for a good excuse to get out of the house? Looking for a place to meet friends, old and new? The Senior Center offers many fun and exciting social activities including international themed luncheons, golf & tennis socials, card playing, monthly birthday luncheon, bingo and much more.

Volunteer Services
Senior adult volunteers are welcomed and vital to our Center.

Volunteers provide leadership for many activities and contribute 18,000 hours of support during the year. Applications are available at the Senior Center front desk.

Computer Programs
The computer program includes introductory, intermediate, and electronics communications classes with Macintosh and PC computers. A computer users group meets monthly.

SERVICES FOR SENIORS

Social Work
Case Management Program helps Senior Center members living in Cupertino to find resources in the community that assist them to continue to remain independent and safe in their own homes. Case Manager, Karen Goss, speaks English, Mandarin and Cantonese. Please call (408) 777-3155 for more information.

Drop In Consultation
Every Tuesday, 11am-1pm, the Case Manager is available to discuss simple issues such as Social Security, avoiding nursing homes, benefits available, and hiring in-home help.

Blood Pressure Checks
Sign up at front desk on Blood Pressure day.
  • 2nd & 4th Monday, 1:30-2:30pm
  • 1st & 3rd Tuesday, 12:15-1:15pm

    BART tickets and VTA bus stickers on sale at front desk.

    The following services require an appointment-- Call 777-3150 to schedule:
    • SALA: Providing free legal services. Chinese translator available.
    • HICAP: Medicare, health insurance and long-term care insurance counseling - Chinese translator
    • Housing: Resource for housing options for Seniors.
