How can I attend the City Council meetings?
City Council meets the first and third Tuesday of each month at 6:45 p.m. All meetings are held in the Community Hall, 10350 Torre Avenue, unless otherwise noticed. Meetings are also broadcast live on Channel 26 in Cupertino.
How can I attend the Planning Commission meetings?
Planning Commission meets the second and fourth Tuesdays at 6:45 p.m. All meetings are held in the Community Hall, 10350 Torre Avenue, unless otherwise noticed. Meetings are also broadcast live on Channel 26 in Cupertino.
How can I get copies of agendas or minutes?
Those copies are available at Agenda & Minutes page. You may also submit self-addressed, stamped envelopes in advance for typed copies. Video tapes of the City Council and Planning Commission meetings are available at the Cupertino Library, or you may purchase them for $20 from The City Channel, (408) 777-3264. Purchased tapes required 48 hours to prepare.
How can I serve on a board or commission, or as a member of city council?
Most vacancies on the boards and commissions are filled in January, although there are a number of unscheduled vacancies which occur throughout the year. All Cupertino residents are encouraged to apply. Contact the City Clerk's Office at (408) 777-3224 or download the commision appointment application.

To serve on the city council you must run for office. Elections are held in November of odd-numbered years and candidates must be registered voters in the corporate limits of the City of Cupertino. Contact the City Clerk at (408) 777-3217 or send an e-mail to clerk@cupertino.org for more detailed information.
How do the elections work in Cupertino?
Council members are elected at-large to staggered, four-year terms. The election is held the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November of odd-numbered years.
You must be registered to vote at your current address at least 29 days prior to the election. To register, contact the Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters at (408) 299-8302.

Where can I register to vote or ask about my polling place?
Contact the Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters, (408) 299-8302. You can also register by mail by filling out a postcard form. Those are available at City Hall, the Library, and most post offices.
