Green Building Ordinance Stakeholders’ Meeting
Wednesday, August 1, 2012, 6 pm, Cupertino Community Hall
It has been over a year since the City of Cupertino drafted a Green Building Ordinance for the community’s review and comments on the City’s green building website. The Green Building Ordinance was drafted in May 2011 to apply green building measures to residential and non-residential development. On May 3, 2011, the Council instructed staff to solicit public comments for a year and bring it back to the Council for review and adoption. The City Council review of the Draft Green Building Ordinance is tentatively scheduled for September/October 2012.
As part of the revisiting of the ordinance, City staff would like to invite you to attend a Community Stakeholders’ Meeting on Wednesday, August 1, 2012, at 6 pm in the Cupertino Community Hall, 10350 Torre Avenue, Cupertino, California, 95014. At the meeting, City staff and the City’s green building consultant will provide:
- An overview of the ordinance drafted by the City Council on May 3, 2011
- Updates affecting the draft green building ordinance, including recent updates to the Cal Green building codes
- Opportunity to provide feedback, refinements and recommendations on the draft ordinance, and to answer any questions you may have
If you are interested in attending, please contact Community Development Department at (408) 777-3313 or by email at akis@cupertino.org by Monday, July 30, 2012.
