Professional Green Gardener 2012 Training

Is Your Gardener a Green Gardener? Residents, ask your yard maintenance professional to become Green Gardener certified. Cupertino is going “Green.”Gardeners, who attend a ten week series of classes will learn the key principles of Sustainable Landscaping by practicing water conservation, soil enhancement and toxic- chemical reduction in your garden.
Gardeners who successfully complete the hands-on training program will be identified as Santa
Clara Valley Green Gardeners and will receive free advertising and promotional referrals to clients seeking “Green” or sustainable landscaping services.

Green Gardener Class Dates:
September 12 – November 17 Wednesdays (English) 4:00 PM—6:00 PM
September 13 – November 18 Thursdays (Spanish) 4:00 PM—6:00 PM

Each weekly, two—hour class will be held at the Sunnyvale-Cupertino Adult Community Education (ACE) building at 591 West Fremont Avenue, Sunnyvale (408) 522-2700. Class registration fee is $120 (Scholarships up to $80 are available upon request for individuals who work for or own landscape management businesses.) The City of Cupertino will pay the remaining balance of the course after the $80.00 scholarship has been received for only Cupertino Gardeners that show proof of working in the City of Cupertino.
