Mary Avenue Dog Park
In its 2012-2013 Capital Improvement Program, the City of Cupertino approved the construction of an off-leash fenced dog park on Mary Avenue. In order to proceed several additional actions must occur, including completing an environmental review process, rezoning the property, and amending the General Plan to support the proposed park use. The schedule for hearings for consideration of these actions is described below.
NOTICE OF INTENT TO ADOPT A MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION
MARY AVENUE DOG PARK
The City of Cupertino (the City) is intending to adopt a Mitigated Negative Declaration for the Mary Avenue Dog Park in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act.
SUMMARY PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Project proposes the construction and operation of a public dog park on an undeveloped parcel.
LOCATION OF PROJECT: Corner of Villa Real and Mary Avenue, APN 326-27-030
FINDING: On the basis of the Initial Study, the City has determined that with the incorporation of the mitigation measures proposed in the Initial Study, the proposed project would not have a significant adverse effect on the environment.

The Initial Study and Proposed Mitigated Negative Declaration are available for a 30-day review period beginning November 1, 2012 and ending November 30, 2012. Comments on the Mitigated Negative Declaration must be submitted in writing within the 30-day review period and sent by mail or fax to:
