Kris Wang was elected to Cupertino City Council in 2003 and re-elected in November 2007. She served as vice mayor for 2006 and as mayor in 2007 and 2010.
True to the best traditions of Cupertino, Kris Wang is an immigrant and has been in the United Stated for 30 years, and a part of the local community for 23. She is a dedicated mother, a high-tech professional and a city council member and mayor. She participates in the Dr. Seuss reading program and was actively involved in building playgrounds for the Kaboom project. Kris is working to help prepare the community for natural disasters, and is an active and effective member of Cupertino community.
