In the spirit of transparency, governments are making public data easily available to citizens. This includes information on how local, state, and federal systems work, how taxpayer money is being spent and data on demographics and other topics. It's called "Open Data" because anyone can access it and then explore, download, analyze, format and share the data.
The City of Cupertino's Open Data Portal provides access to data and information on the City's finance and budget, infrastructure and population demographics. Certain data sets are available in spreadsheet form; others are available as Geographical Information System (GIS) interactive maps.
Go to our Open Data Portal to explore the many data sets offered and find out about the system. Within the portal, you also can request that a new data set be created.
