Getting Assistance & Support

Neighborhood Block Leaders Learn Step-by-step Methods
They learn how to plan neighborhood gatherings. The City:

  1. Coordinates training sessions and materials;
  2. Provides a guidebook that contains commonly asked questions and sample neighborhood fliers;
  3. Acquaints new leaders with experienced leaders; and
  4. Photocopies neighborhood forms, fliers and newsletters. The City also offers Community Improvement Grants of up to $300 to jumpstart activities.

Neighborhood Block Leaders Gain the Inside Track
They are informed of new City and neighborhood projects and activities. As a result, Block Leaders become more familiar with City Hall and how to relay neighborhood concerns.
