On October 21st, 2017 Cupertino Safe Routes 2 School and the Bicycle Pedestrian Commission will host the 4th annual Fall Family Bike Fest featuring the Pedal 4 the Planet Famiiy Bike Ride (Fall Edition)!

The Fest- The Bike Festival will feature a bicycle skills course and obstacle course with wooden ramps that will teach young riders to ride safely while having a great time. The rodeo will take place in the parking lot of City Hall (off Rodriguez ave) and will be hosted by  leading bicycle education experts- SafeMoves.  The rodeo will happen from 9:30 AM - 12 PM continuously.

The Rides-
These aptly named ‘Pedal for the Planet Rides’ will feature two different "heats" to satisfy a variety of cadences. We will have a leisurely 6-mile ride (best for families) and a 13-mile ride (better for frequent riders), both touring city schools, parks, and landmarks. The rides are open to kids of any age and their families, but riders under 18 will need an adult's signature on a ride waiver. The bike rides will be chaperoned by experienced cyclists and will start and end at City Hall so participants can join the bike rodeo and before and after the rides. Both rides will depart at 10:30 AM from City Hall. Please arrive early to sign in and grab some pre-ride fuel! View the routes below.

The Food-
The BPC will be bringing its famous Bicycle Blender so make sure to stop by and mix up a refreshing smoothie using your pedal power! Happening all day!
