Hack Cupertino

<hack> Cupertino is a 13-hour overnight programming marathon for 13 to 18-year-old future developers. Participating teams are tasked with designing and programming an application or website to answer a prompt presented during the Opening Ceremony.

Participants may work in teams of up to four members.<hack> Cupertino encourages participants to work collaboratively to come up with an innovative solution to the presented problem.

This year’s event will be held from Saturday, April 13 at 6 p.m. to Sunday, April 14 at 11 a.m. in the Quinlan Community Center. <hack> Cupertino is in its third year and is organized by Cupertino's Teen Commission and Cupertino Recreation & Community Services Department.

Please note that this even this is a lock-in, if you leave the premises at any point in the evening you will not be allowed back in.

Event Schedule:

Registration Check-In: 5:30pm
Opening Ceremony Begins: 6pm
Hacking Begins: 7pm
Judging Occurs: 8am


13-18 years old
*18 year olds must posses a 2018-2019 high school ID or other valid form of high school ID.


Teams must be a maximum of 4 people. No exceptions.

What to bring:

  • Signed forms (see 'Forms and Waivers' section below)
  • Laptop
  • Chargers and power strips
  • Sleeping Bag/Blankets
  • Toiletries
  • USB Stick
  • Medication and any personal items
