Clean Water and Storm Protection Fee Ballots Have Been Mailed to Homes

Post Date:05/21/2019
Cupertino property owners have until July 5, 2019, to vote on the Clean Water and Storm Protection fee. Ballots were mailed on May 17, 2019, and need to be received at Cupertino City Hall by July 5, 2019, at 5:00 p.m. in order to be counted.

The proposed property-based fee would provide funding for flood prevention maintenance and cleaning of Cupertino’s storm water system, environmental education, and reduction of trash and other pollutants reaching creeks to meet the City’s requirements under federal Clean Water Act. An existing fee established in 1992 funds a portion of these activities and will remain unchanged.

Please look for your ballot in the mail and return it quickly so that your vote can be counted. Please visit www.cupertino.org/CleanWater for additional information or email staff at environmental@cupertino.org.
