Liana Crabtree

I became interested in local government following the City Council's December 4, 2014 decision to allocate 2 MILLION square feet of office, a placeholder amount of housing, and an unspecified maximum building height at a commercial property that was zoned for retail use only. Whoa, there, Nellie! What's this all about? The more I spoke with residents, the more learned how little voter support exists for such a dramatic land use change. Looking at the then-Council’s support for another office development--as people's housing and infrastructure needs are left wanting--spurred my interest in supporting local government we can all be proud of, our wonderful Cupertino Library. It is my pleasure to advocate for the expansion of library facilities to meet the needs of Cupertino's growing library patron population. Come learn about what's new at your library! Join us the first Wednesday evening of most months for commission meetings.
