Getting Assistance & Support

Neighborhood Block Leaders Learn Step-by-step Methods
They learn how to plan neighborhood gatherings and gain tips and resources to plan activities.

Neighborhood Block Leaders Are Informed
They hear about new City and neighborhood projects and programs. Block Leaders become familiar with City Hall and where to relay neighborhood concerns.

Neighborhood Block Leaders Meet Three Times Each Year
They receive communication training and updates, exchange organization tips with peers, and gain more in-depth information on City services.

The City:

  1. Coordinates training sessions and materials;
  2. Provides a guidebook that contains commonly asked questions and sample neighborhood fliers;
  3. Acquaints new leaders with experienced leaders; and
  4. Photocopies neighborhood forms and fliers. The City also offers Community Improvement Grants of up to $300 to jumpstart neighborhood activities.
