Accordion

Tuesday, 1:35-3:10 p.m.

Learn to play the Accordion. Bring the old accordion out of the closet and play! Taught by our talented instructor Reno Di Bono, learn to play left handed bass and coordinate with right hand melody. The class will be individualized to each student’s levelSeasonal. Instructor: Reno Di Bono.

Hula Dance Beginning

Monday, 11:45 a.m. - 12:40 p.m.

Learn the Hawaiian art of storytelling through dance. Instructor: Jackie Pereria-Anderson.  

Hula Dance Performance Group

Monday, 12:55-1:55 p.m. 

Practice toward performing around the community as a Cupertino Senior Center Volunteer. (Instructor’s approval is required before registering for performance group.) Instructor: Jackie Pereria-Anderson.

Line Dancing Beginning

Thursday, 7-8:30 p.m.

Line Dance is a great exercise that may improve your balance, memorization skills, muscle tone and overall health. This class covers the fundamentals of line dancing, includes the basic steps and many types of dances: waltz, rumba, tango, cha-cha, etc. All levels of dancers welcome. Good exercise, great fun! Line Dancing Beginning/Intermediate

Tuesday, 7-8:30 p.m.

This class is for people with some experience with line dance and knowledge of basic steps. A variety of dances will be offered. Good exercise, great fun! Instructor: Kathy Chang.

Ukulele Strum-and-Sing - Intermediate

Monday, 1:30-3:15 p.m.

Intermediate level. The class covers music theory, techniques and chord construction. Enjoy singing and strumming to Hawaiian and other songs with other intermediate ukulele players. We will move beyond the basics to enhance your ukulele skills and music understanding of this wonderful and enjoyable instrument. Instructor: Noella Levy.

HarmoniKatz Performance Band

Monday, 3:45-4:45 p.m.

Sings and plays at various events upon request, and various facilities such as Nursing Homes, Senior Care Facilities, Cupertino Senior Center (CSC). Instructor Delphine Ng.

Pre-requisites:

· Play your instructor-approved instrument at an intermediate level or higher. Such as ukulele, guitar, bass, steel, harmonica and so forth;

· Register as a CSC volunteer.

· Have iPad or other electronic tablet capability and be willing to use Drop Box application for Band Materials.

Ukulele Beginning 

Tuesday, 1:30-3 p.m.

This Beginner Ukulele Class is designed for those who are interested in playing the ukulele who have little or no previous experience in playing the ukulele. You will learn basic chords and strums which will be applied to music. Please come to class with a ukulele, a music stand for your music, a tuner for tuning your ukulele, and a 3-ring binder to hold your music and class notes that will be provided to you. iPads are encouraged. Come and enjoy the fun of learning to play the ukulele while singing songs. Instructor: Delphine Ng.

Ukulele Advanced Beginning

Tuesday, 3:15-4:45 p.m.

The Advanced Beginner Ukulele Class is designed for those who already know how to play the basic chords of the ukulele. Join us in fun learning more chords, strums for different rhythms, and picking melodies. Please come to class with a ukulele, a music stand for your music, a tuner for tuning your ukulele, and a 3-ring binder to hold your music and notes. iPads are encouraged to download your music file. Come and enjoy learning to play and sing. Instructor: Delphine Ng.

Yuan Chih Dance

Friday, 10-11:30 a.m.

Yuan Chih is a popular dance exercise from the Orient. With ninety minutes of gentle movements to music, this graceful dance class is designed to improve flexibility, endurance and boost energy. Classes will be conducted in English and Chinese. Gentle exercise and lots of fun. Instructor: Annie & Helen.

*FUHSD Adult School

Fremont Union High School District works in partnership with the City of Cupertino Senior Center to provide a variety of educational courses that enhance the lifelong learning opportunities of our diverse community.
