ESL Basic & Easy

Monday, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.

You will learn the English Alphabet, phonics, easy grammar, practical words, and phrases.  Instructor: Larry North, Friends of Vision Literacy.

ESL Intermediate

Wednesday, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.

This class is for those who want to improve their ability to speak, understand, and write English. Learn basic English grammar, vocabulary, and phrases for everyday use. Instructor: Larry North, Friends of Vision Literacy.

ESL Advanced

Thursday, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Improve your ability to speak, understand, and write English at an advanced level. You will continue to learn English grammar, vocabulary, and phrases for everyday use. Instructor: Larry North, Friends of Vision Literacy.

ESL Intermediate Conversation

Tuesday, 1:30-3 p.m.

Join this lively ESL conversation class where you will gain confidence by speaking about topics of your interest. Instructor: Joann Andrushko.

Conversational English

Monday & Tuesday, 10-11:45 a.m.

Learn conversational skills for day to day use. Instructor: Phil Chun, Victor Wong.

Conversational Mandarin - Beginning

Thursday, 9-10:30 a.m.

Learn practical Mandarin dialogue used in daily life and develop basic conversational skills.

Whether this is for your personal or professional satisfaction, learning another language is fun, it will keep your mind active and stimulates your brain. The instructors will adjust their teaching to your personal needs, and the small class settings provide a relaxed and light-hearted learning environment. Instructor: June Li.

Conversational Mandarin - Intermediate

Friday; 10-11:30 a.m.

Conversational Mandarin - Advanced

Thursday; 9-10:30 a.m.

Learn practical Mandarin dialogue used in daily life and develop basic conversational skills. Instructor: Lynn Gao.

Japanese - Beginning Level I

Thursday, 8:30-9:30 a.m.

Designed for people who have had little or no exposure to the language before. These classes will start from the very beginning and include the basics such as numbers, greetings and simple sentence structures. The Hiragana and Katakana writing systems will be introduced. Instructor: Tomoko Terry.

Japanese - Beginning Level II

Thursday, 9:45-10:45 a.m.

Designed for people who have taken level 1 or who already have a firm knowledge of the basics. Students will increase their vocabulary and grammar, and develop longer conversational skills. Instructor: Tomoko Terry.

*FUHSD Adult School

Fremont Union High School District works in partnership with the City of Cupertino Senior Center to provide a variety of educational courses that enhance the lifelong learning opportunities of our diverse community. **De Anza Cardio-Vascular Training:

De Anza College offers off-campus classes for older adults with disabilities. Adapted Cardiovascular Training is an introduction to the discipline of physical education through cardiovascular training in the context of an individual's physical, intellectual, and/or effective abilities and limitations. This offers a global and historical review of the evolution of aerobic exercise, exercise trends for men, women, and athletes as they correspond to the evolution of the discipline of physical education. Classes are held at the Cupertino Senior Center and senior center membership is required for this course.
