Services for Seniors
The Cupertino Senior Center is an excellent resource for seniors. The many different services at the center help seniors to obtain resources in the community that will assist them to continue to remain independent and safe in their own homes. Must be a Cupertino Senior Center member for case manager services.

Social Services
The Case Management Program helps senior center members living in Cupertino find resources in the community that assist them to remain independent and safe in their own homes. Case Managers, Karen Goss, 408.777.3155, and Adrianna Stankovich, 408.777.3157, are available to help. Karen speaks Mandarin and Cantonese, as well as English. 

Drop In Consultation
Every Wednesday, 10am-12pm, the case managers are available to discuss simple issues such as Social Security, avoiding nursing homes, benefits available, and hiring in-home help. A caregiver support group meets the second Thursday of the month, from 3-4:30pm.

Blood Pressure Checks
Sign up at the front desk on Blood Pressure day.

  • The second and fourth Monday of the month, from 1:30-2:30pm.
  • The first and third Tuesday of the month, from 12:15-1:15pm.
Senior Transportation Discount
BART tickets are available to seniors 65 years and older, valued at $24, for the prices of $9. Seniors who purchase this ticket must remember to carry proof of age while riding BART. Acceptable forms of proof are an RTC ID card, a Medicare card, a DMV Disability Parking Placard or license, or a discount card from another California transit operator, and picture ID. www.bart.gov. 
 
VTA has now gone to the clipper card, for more information on the clipper card and where you can purchase them please stop by the front desk and ask us! Bus 51 stops directly in front of the senior center. www.vta.org.

SALA
This service helps seniors to handle cases in the areas of: Social Security, SSI, Medicare, Medi-Cal, etc., assists with preparations of the Durable Power of Attorney for Health Care and simple wills for seniors with modest assets. No fees for service. Must be 60 years or older and a resident of Santa Clara County.
 
HICAP
Counseling is available to assist with questions about Medicare, Medi-Cal, ans supplementary insurances. Chinese translator available.
 

Housing
A housing consultant will provide you with information about senior housing options available in the area.
