Looking for a good excuse to get out of the house? Looking for a place to meet friends, old and new? The senior center offers many fun and exciting social activities including international themed luncheons, golf & tennis socials, card playing, monthly birthday luncheon, bingo, and much more.
Special events are planned year round. Click on this link to see some of the events that go on throughout the year.
Come join us on Thursdays from 1:30-4:30pm. for an afternoon of fun and singing!
Regular bingo on Fridays. Games start at 1pm. and end around 3:30pm. with an intermission after the 6th game.
Mah Jongg - A game of Chinese origin usually played by four people with tiles resembling dominoes, which are drawn and discarded until one player wins with a hand of four combinations or three tiles each and a pair of matching tiles. Mah Jongg involves skill, strategy, and calculation, as well as a certain degree of luck. Come and try your luck with a group of friends on Friday afternoon, from 12-4pm.
Card Playing - Come meet for bridge and many other card games. There are six tables reserved Monday through Thursday, from 12-4pm. Open bridge on Thursday afternoon from 2-4pm. Form your own group.
Open Bridge - Come meet for bridge. A friendly volunteer will help form groups on Thursday afternoon from 2-4pm.
Open Cribbage - Come meet for Cribbage. A friendly volunteer will help form groups as well as provide instruction and tips on strategies. Wednesday afternoon from 1:30-4pm.
Monthly Social and Birthday - Held on the second Wednesday of most months, this party features a great lunch, special entertainment, and birthday cake to honor seniors' special day. Members pay $12/senior guests pay the fee plus the $5 day pass.
International Luncheon - Several times during the year, we hold a special luncheon to celebrate a culture and authentic food from a special corner of the world. Check the The 50+ Scene for these one-of-a-kind events.
50+ Bocce Ball - A long the scenic Stevens Creek Trail in Blackberry Farm Park are two bocce ball courts. Come out to play bocce ball on from spring through fall on Wednesday mornings starting at 9am. This is a non-competitive environment open to all levels. Games are first come first serve and instructions will be available.
Table Tennis Social - Two ping pong tables are in play in a non-competitive environment for all levels on Tuesday from 8:30-11:30am and Friday from 1-4:30pm. First come, first serve. For safety, limited to 25 players at a session.
Golf for Seniors - Play golf at Blackberry Farm on Monday at 10am. The fee is $14 for Cupertino residents and $16 for non-residents. No day pass required.
Drop-in Tennis - Join other members on Tuesdays, 9-11am, at the Memorial Park tennis courts, to exercise and socialize.
The Sandlot Social - 50+ Softball in beautiful Memorial Park will be open to all participation levels. Join us as we play the game that is part of our past. It reminds us of all the good memories we have and can relive again. All participants must sign the liability waiver. Thursdays, 9am-12pm. Seasonal.
Music and Dance Socials
The Rhythmaires - Come hear the sound of this senior Dixieland jazz band during practices on Fridays, from 9:30-11:30am. Visit the band online.
Ballroom Dance - Drop in for an afternoon of fun and dance on the second and fourth Mondays of the month, from 2-3:30pm.
